Kathleen Frosch

Originally from Pennsylvania, Kathleen U Frosch has lived from one coast to the other and places in between. Now she and her husband are happy to call the Saint Louis area of Missouri home.
Growing up, her academic interests were focused on science and technology which eventually led her to get her mathematics degree. Over most of her working life, Kathleen has managed mid-range computers for a variety of companies.
Despite Kathleen's interests in the sciences, she also enjoys traveling with her husband and exploring a number of creative outlets including textile arts, painting and writing.
Not long along, Kathleen's husband surprised her with a cruise to Antarctica. While on an excursion, the two were introduced to wild penguins and had the joy of walking along side of them on their way to the ocean's edge.
Kathleen had always treasured the times she spent reading to her four children when they were little and now, as a result of her penguin experience and with the encouragement of her husband and family, she was inspired to create a book that would introduce small children to these wonderful birds.
Who knew that a vacation cruise would turn into a whole new career? The world around us is such a wondrous place filled with all sorts of interesting animals, that Kathleen quickly discovered that the sky is the limit in choosing topics for nature books. Penguins were just the beginning!
